HIGHLAND Backpackers
INVERNESS
stay in the heart of INVERNESS
Highland Backpackers is a budget-priced, fun-filled hostel close to the centre of town and less than five minutes’ walk from the bus and train stations.
Inverness has many attractions, including the Museum and Art gallery, Inverness Castle, and the Inverness Cathedral. It is home to many award-winning live music bars and an array of restaurants. For Outlander fans, Culloden battlefield and the Clava Cairns (inspiration for Craigh na Dun) are a short bus ride away.
Our hostel is an excellent base for exploring the highlands and islands of Scotland. Urquhart castle, an impressive castle ruin, is a short drive from Inverness, which overlooks the legendary Loch Ness. The Isle of Skye is a two-hour journey by car, passing through the dramatic, misty and moody Scottish Highlands. There are also many tour companies offering options to explore Inverness, Loch Ness, Glen Affric and other destinations in the Scottish Highlands.
